The third instalment of our Commodore survey sees the VT-VZ take Holden to a new level of prosperity. 22 May 2018 6:03 AM. Dave CAREY. OVER the past two features, we’ve seen how hard Holden worked to Australianise the Commodore. From the very first tests of the wobbly Opel Rekord in the mid-1970s, it was clear Holden’s engineering know-how Now I have a VE SS-V ute and I think it's a significant improvement, power wise my VY was almost equal to the VE however the 6 Speed Auto makes all the difference. I guess the most important point to my comparison is that I have compared a modified car to a standard car. In the standard VY II SS to VE SSV comparison I say the VE wins hands down. List of Holden vehicles by series. Holden VYs: Commodore (left) and Berlina (right). Both VY models are essentially identical; hence the shared "VY" model code. The only considerable difference between the "Holden Commodore" and "Holden Berlina" is the luxury level, and in the case of the examples illustrated, body style; the Commodore pictured VY ute. Mar 5, 2015. #1. my vy is having fuel pump issues, shudders at highway speeds and when taking of from a dead stop. looking at replacing the fuel pump my question is will a VX sedans fuel pump fit my Vy ute ( my old man has an old written off vx just want to know if they will fit before i dive into it) Cheers. The 2004 VZ generation, the last on the Commodore's VT platform, sees that relationship change dramatically. For the first time in its history HSV will actually lead Holden to market with a whole new generation of V8 engine. HSV will be the first GM brand in Australia to shoehorn the LS2 into a production car. 20-06-2007, 02:06 PM. one difference i know of between the VY SS and the VY SS II is the steering wheel. on the VY models the steering wheel rim is thin and just all rounded while the Series II model got a fatter stitched steering rim and with thumb rest too. jaykay. 20-06-2007, 03:17 PM. Do you guys with VY's have heated mirrors & auto dip passenger side mirror when reverse selected? VZ had a few more electronic safety feature added but all appear to have gone to the V6 only. At the moment the 10k rough difference in second hand prices between VZ & VY does not appear worth it. Other cars to consider. 1. Holden SS-V Redline (VE II) A generation newer than VT-VZ and very much feeling it, the first Redline encroached on HSV’s turf when launched in 2010 boasting a 270kW/530Nm 6.0-litre L98 V8, big four-pot front Brembos and even sharper FE3 suspension. Tidy examples are about $25K. 12. The y-axis is pointing outward from the plane of the computer screen. Since the fluid flow is in the z-direction, vx = 0, vy = 0, and only vz exists. For small flow rates, the viscous forces prevent continual acceleration of the fluid. So, vz is independent of z and it is meaningful to postulate that velocity vz = vz(x) and pressure p = p(z). As title says Basically I was playing some old V8 Supercars games, when I noticed it listed the model as VZ rather than VY, what I called it growing… yYxrM.
